After its debut at M&O in January 2023, Sandriver's Tibetan project is continuing its exploration and research into Tibetan culture and craftsmanship. Recently, a group of local Tibetan craftswomen were invited to Sandriver's workshop in Shanghai
They helped Sandriver to understand Tibetan handicrafts more deeply, so that the restoration work of ancient handicrafts can be carried out more smoothly. At the same time, Sandriver also taught them appropriate new techniques and design concepts, so that the subsequent handmade products can reproduce the ancient culture and at the same time meet the modern aesthetics.

This ancient Tibetan craft is called ‘Pulu’, and it is hand-woven to create different patterns of products. Like Sandriver's flagship cashmere felts, we hope to revive the ancient craft while giving back to the local people so that local Tibetan women can earn an extra income from their craft during their farm breaks.
